Prices are per version and are not interchangeable, and neither are the reviews: conversions in this era were often built by a different studio than the original, so a score earned on one machine says nothing about how another plays.

The Sega Master System version
A Looney Tunes platformer that Computer and Video Games preferred on the Master System over the Mega Drive.
Daffy Duck in Hollywood is a platformer that Sega published in Europe in December 1994, with Probe Software developing the Master System and Game Gear versions. When Mean Machines Sega reported on it, the console was said to be facing rumours of its demise, and the magazine greeted the game with relief, describing a leaping romp through Western and haunted levels.
Computer and Video Games rated the Master System version well above the Mega Drive one, calling it more playable and more fun.
How it was made
Probe Software developed the Master System and Game Gear versions, and Sega published the game.
How the Sega Master System version differs
The Master System version was one of the best-selling games between September 1994 and May 1995 and was counted among the top 10 Sega Hits.

Before you buy
This is a European cartridge, so the PAL copy is the one to buy. Loose it sits well above the middle of the European-only games, and a complete copy costs much more. The look-alike risk is low. Check that the manual is there, since it is the part most often missing from a complete copy.

The Sega Genesis version
A Looney Tunes platformer that reviewers found tedious, and a European-only cart that costs well above the typical one in its group.
Daffy Duck in Hollywood is a platformer starring the Looney Tunes duck, developed by Psionic Systems and published by Sega. The Mega Drive version came out only in Europe, in 1995. This page also covers the Master System edition, which Probe Software made, so this entry is about the Mega Drive cartridge.
Mean Machines Sega was unimpressed: its reviewers found the platforming tedious, the graphics and sound poor, the game poor value for the price, and the whole thing too close to Pink Goes to Hollywood. Computer and Video Games was harsher still and called the Mega Drive version no good, while preferring the Master System game.
What the press said at the time
| Sega Pro Issue 44 | May 1995 | 83% |
“Get really tossed off as you struggle with the unrespon¬ sive controls and stilted gameplay”
“The plucky cartoon hero stars in his first MD game. Of course, iťs a platformer, but a pretty good one all the same. Good graphics, humorous touches and plenty of playability.”

Before you buy
The European cartridge is the one to look for. Among European-only carts it sits well above the middle, so it is not one of the bargains of that group. A complete copy means the case, cartridge and manual.
