Konami's N64 soccer sequel for the World Cup summer of 1998, a well-liked game that costs more than the typical N64 cart.
International Superstar Soccer 98 was developed by Konami Computer Entertainment Osaka for the Nintendo 64 alone, and released at the same time as a separate PlayStation game, International Superstar Soccer Pro 98. It reached Japan in June 1998 as Jikkyō World Soccer: World Cup France '98, North America in August 1998 and Europe that September. It lacked a FIFPro license.
Next Generation reviewed it in August 1998 as a sequel with very few new features, though it thought the improved camera angles were more than cosmetic and changed the flow of the game.

“Superstar Soccer takes seconds to learn and hours to master — the perfect recipe for any game. No multiplayer N64 sports game comes even close to it.”
Undated scores are from the review table in the game's Wikipedia article, limited to reviews of the Nintendo 64 version.
Before you buy
The North American cartridge sits above the median price for the library and the fake risk is low. The PAL release is a separate cartridge that costs far less, loose and complete, which makes it the budget way to own the game. A complete copy of the North American release is worth several times the loose price.
