Madden NFL 2000 is the Nintendo 64 edition of EA Sports' football series, developed by EA Tiburon and released only in North America on August 31, 1999. AllGame gave the N64 version four stars and singled out the franchise mode as a welcome addition that would keep you playing with a favorite team, even as it admitted the game lags in a few areas.

GamePro called the N64 version a no-brainer must-buy for anyone who did not already own a football game for the system.
